Liberation Day


August 15th is Liberation Day, celebrating the end of Japanese rule in the Korean peninsula at the end of World War II, an event of enormous significance in North Korea, who emphasise the role of Kim Il-Sung's insurgency against Japanese Imperialism. A unique event to witness, participate in and celebrate in the DPRK.
