North Korea's state media reported this afternoon that international midfielder Ri Yong-Jik could be off to join Premier League outfit Sunderland A.F.C. as David Moyes's first signing of the season for a deal rumoured to be around 500,000 pounds.
Yong-Jik, 25, a Japanese born Korean, currently plays for V-Varen Nagasaki where he has featured since 2015. He has won caps for the North Korean international team.
Having watched him play, Sunderland Scouts who visited Japan were rumoured to be impressed by his performances and presented him to the Wearside club.
