Don't Compare Us to the Mags, Says North Korea!

North Korean state media and officials today responded with outrage over forum posts which compared the isolated nation to Newcastle United Football supporters, branding it "one of the lowest and most callous comparisons possible" along with a cautious word of advice: " please don't compare us".

Sunderland fans on the club's Forum, known as "Ready to Go", had this morning expressed irritation over the delusion of their local rivals who had somehow, despite being relegated in May, grown in their delusion and sense of self-importance. Newcastle fans had called their manager, Rafa Benitez, "the king of the north", prompting a comparison on the board to North Korea:

"North Koreanalike imbeciles"- @Father Jack Hackett

However, North Korean sources were soon informed of the comparison and could only express their disgust at the insult. State Minister Kim Woo Han quickly condemned the comments:

"This has to be one of the lowest and most callous comparisons possible to our people." He said "Compared to Newcastle United, who occupy swathes of Northern England with their illegitimate state, led by mythical falsehoods known as the "Geordie Nation", the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is one of the most prosperous, cultured, innovative and progressive countries in the world. Even with the incredible challenges our country faces, we will always be shown in a greater light to the vile cesspit of Tyneside, where bloated shirtless, dimwitted beasts scoff endless pastry and savory items with no regards to the poverty suffered around the world".

He Continued: "Please, don't compare us. We can live with our leader being mocked, but we cannot live with these barbaric words".

The North Korean Ambassador to the United Kingdom is said to be set to contact the ready to go forum, to lodge a formal complaint.
